The first time I tried making money online, was with a network marketing company. At first, when I heard about it and how I could get other people to join, I thought, this was easy. I knew that I had to put myself out there and I wasn't afraid to do so. I was willing to learn to get where I wanted to be.
I started researching. I realized that there was something more to building this business. I researched ways to market myself online.
I saw these people talking about making money online. They made it seem so easy. But then, when you get in yourself, you realize it is not as easy as people portray it.
I learned that it's so much better to get in the water yourself than to be on the sand watching persons on the inside having fun or on the inside saying to you, oh, it feels warm, the water feels great on the skin. I learned that It's better to get in and feel for yourself. I immediately realized that there was a lot more to it.
As a result, here are 4 tips on why it is so difficult to make money online.
1. You have to learn numerous skills
Most of the skills I needed to make money online I lacked. I had to learn how to build a funnel. I had to learn how to create my funnel so that my business could be running on automation while I sleep. I had to learn how to create a website and I even had to learn video editing.
If you want to make money online, you've got to put yourself out there. There are several online businesses where you don't have to put yourself out there much. These may include completing an online survey, or transcription, and even freelancing. However, if you truly want to build a business where you brand yourself, then you have to put yourself out there. You also have to learn sales and marketing.
2. Learning is continuous
No matter how experienced you are at something, the learning process is ongoing. When thinking about creating an online business, remember there are numerous skills to learn, and it is continuous in order to reach that level of accomplishment.
3. Online business is not short-term
Building a business online is not short-term. This is why it is so difficult. People give up very quickly. They give it at least six months. They see no results, and they give up very quickly. If you truly want to build an online business, you have to remember that building an online business is a long-term goal. It is not a short-term goal. If you go into this thinking short-term, you're already going into this to fail.
4. People are afraid of being scammed
Scammers are dominant in the online space. As a result, people don't take action because they don't trust you and are afraid of being scammed. Therefore, take the time to build that trust among people. People are not going to freely give you their money unless they feel as if they trust you. This goes back to online business being a long-term goal.
Conclusion
If you take the time to enjoy the experience, enjoy the process, and learn along the way, then all the challenges that come with online business, you will be able to overcome them.
If you truly want to make money online, you need to be patient and you need to be willing to learn from others and all the skills that come with online business. When you are starting an online business, yes, you will find yourself doing the majority of the work initially, but what is most important is enjoying the process.
